The return to the Pirates pitching staff was not good for Chris Archer yesterday, as the Bucs were blasted by the Diamondbacks, 11-1. Archer returned from the injured list to give up six runs in 3.2 innings.

To make room for Archer, the Bucs optioned Clay Holmes to AAA.
