State police have released an update on the investigation into a theft that happened in the parking lot of the Blairsville Walmart in February.
Police say on February 26th, an unidentified couple stole the purse of a 76-year-old Blairsville woman by taking it out of the cart. The two then made their way to the dumpster near Advance Auto Parts and then crossed Route 22 on foot. The purse was recovered but about $100 in cash was taken.
Last week, in connection with the investigation, troopers released surveillance footage pictures of the two suspects. Police now say that the two suspects have been identified and no further assistance is requested. Charges have not been filed and the theft remains under investigation.
