Homer Center School Board has issued a news release saying that they will not raise taxes for the third straight year in their budget.
In the news release from Superintendent Charles Koren, the decision was based off the work done during three budget meetings, three planning meetings and the recommendations of both the Academic Committee and Buildings and Grounds Committee. Expenditures will come to $17,107,996, with revenues coming to $16,692,035, with the difference being made up through the use of the district’s fund balance, with real estate taxes remaining at 16.5091 mils.
The board is expected to give preliminary approval to their budget at a meeting later this month.
