The Pirates led the Texas Rangers, 6-2, after seven innings but ended up losing the game, 9-6, Wednesday afternoon at PNC Park.
Michael Feliz gave up four runs in the eighth inning and Tyler Lyons gave up three more in the ninth to end up with the loss.
Josh Bell hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning that traveled 472 feet, the fifth longest in PNC Park history. Colin Moran also homered in the sixth inning.
