PSP-INDIANA
State police are investigating a case of simple assault in the Meadow Wood area of White Township. Troopers say that the suspect, an unnamed 59-year old woman of Indiana was driving erratically on Warren Road. The victim, an 84-year-old Indiana man, was able to get in front of the suspect vehicle to try and get the vehicle’s registration plate number. As the victim walked past the driver’s side window, the suspect rolled down the window and shot pepper spray in the victim’s face.
Few details are available on a case of drug possession that was reported on Saturday. State police say they pulled over Jonathan Sherman of Starford for a traffic stop on May 4th around 8:04 PM on Route 422 near Five Points Road in Armstrong Township. Police seized crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and related paraphernalia during that traffic stop.
Not much is known about a theft that was reported late last week in Burrell Township. The theft happened at a home on Blaire Road sometime between 6 PM on May 2nd and 4 PM on May 3rd. During that time, someone was able to get in and steal a handgun and an unknown amount of cash.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police say that they have arrested a man who was accused of damaging cars in an apartment complex parking lot. Police say that this happened Thursday morning, around 7:00 AM. Police found 33-year-old Nedrick Patrick of Indiana was found in the parking lot of Carriage House on Oakland Avenue damaging several vehicles with bricks. When officers arrived and tried to take him into custody, he resisted arrest. Patrick was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest and harassment. A preliminary hearing has not been set.
Indiana borough police have filed a non-traffic citation charging a Philadelphia man for violating the borough code. Police say that they were called out to a large gathering at a residence in the 1100 block of Washington Street, and the noise from it violated borough code.
