The Altoona Curve won its third straight game, beating Richmond, 8-3, as catcher Jason Delay had four hits and Cam Vieaux (1-2) notched his first win of the season.
Altoona scored seven runs in the third inning on just three hits as Richmond pitchers walked six batters in the frame. The Curve’s Bralin Jackson had two of those hits, including a two-run ground rule double.
The series wraps up this afternoon in Richmond with Scooter Hightower (1-2, 4.63 ERA) getting the start for Altoona.
