Inmates at SCI Pine Grove, the state prison in White Township, have donated $500 to the Alice Paul House, the domestic violence shelter in Indiana.
The Beyond the Fence inmate organization at the prison held a fundraiser in March, selling Little Debbie products to the inmate population. 220 inmates participated and raised more than $1,200. They decided on the Alice Paul House as one of their beneficiaries in honor of National Crime Victims Rights Week in April.

The Alice Paul House focuses on domestic violence and sexual assault and operates a shelter for victims. The organization last week held a groundbreaking for a new facility along Saltsburg Avenue in White Township.
In November, Beyond the Fence donated $600 to Indiana County Children and Youth Services.
