Starting May 13th, IUP’s George P. Miller Stadium will undergo another project to help improve the facility.
The project gets underway later this month and will replace lighting at the stadium. Because of the project’s scope, the university will close the entire stadium, including the track, turf and surrounding fenced-in areas. Gates will be locked for the duration of the project, which is expected to take place about two weeks.
This is just one of several recent renovations that have been done at the stadium, which includes new field turf on the stadium floor, new pole vault plant boxes, replacement of the visitor side bleachers, a home-side wheelchair-accessible platform, new fencing and gates, new trench drains and a new restroom building on the visitor side.
