The Pirates held on for a 7-5 win, defeating the Texas Rangers Wednesday to sweep the two-game series.
The Pirates scored four runs in the fourth inning. Bryan Reynolds keyed the rally with a three-run double.
Felipe Vázquez, the third Pirates reliever of the game, picked up his eighth save. He pitched the ninth inning and left two runners in scoring position, securing the win for Jameson Taillon.
