At a special meeting of the Marion Center School Board last night, the board accepted the resignation of a teacher who was the subject of an internal investigation.
The board unanimously accepted the resignation of teacher and dean of students Gena Anthony. Anthony had been investigated over the last month concerning behavior with a student that has since graduated from the district. She was with the district for 13 years and was the dean of students since 2017. During the investigation, she was placed on administrative leave.
District Superintendent Clint Weimer talked about who would fill her position now that she has resigned.

Anthony’s resignation was retroactive to April 19th.
