The Pirates lost their eighth consecutive game, falling 7-6 to the Los Angeles Dodgers Sunday to wrap up a three-game series in LA.
The Bucs jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the second inning, but the Dodgers tied the score at 5-5 with a three-run fifth inning.
Melky Cabrera turned in a four-hit, two-homer day for the Pirates, who have fallen to 12-14 and from first place to fourth place in the National League Central Division standings.
The Pirates head to Texas to take on the Rangers, beginning tomorrow.
