The Indiana County Endowment is accepting applications for both their general endowment funds and the Evans Health Care Fund.
The general endowment funds support “worthy improvements to the community”. The Evans Health Care Fund provides grants to health care projects and programs benefiting residents in the Penns Manor, Purchase Line, and/or Marion Center school districts.
Projects and programs combining resources with other organizations are given preference for both funds.
The Indiana County Endowment was established in 1990. One of the early patrons was Jimmy Stewart and his wife, Gloria. Some recent recipients of endowment funds include accessAbilities, for its weekly play group; the Foundation for IUP, for the Footlight Players; Friends of Blairsville Parks & Recreation Foundation, for a roof replacement; the Homer Center Historical Society, to paint the caboose; and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, for waders and meters for its volunteers.
The Endowment’s board will consider the applications at its June meeting. For more information, visit the Indiana County Endowment’s Facebook page. The application may be requested and submitted via email at icendowment@gmail.com. The application deadline is May 15th.
