UPDATE: Madison Bruner was sentenced to serve up to five years of intermediate punishment with up to 9 months of restrictive intermediate punishment in the theft case. She was given similar sentences for the other cases she faced, but Judge William Martin ordered those sentences to run concurrently.
Harold Lee Filler, Jr. was sentenced to 9 months to two years in Indiana County Jail followed by three years of probation for the theft cases, but like before, the sentences will run concurrently.
John Henry Piper was sentenced to two years probation.
Ma-King Stewart was sentenced to 3-7 years in prison along with fines and court costs.
Rose Marie Weimer was sentenced to five years intermediate punishment for a traffic incident last December.
WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
A number of defendants are scheduled for sentencing today in Indiana County Court, including an Indiana woman who pleaded guilty in three separate cases, and who will also have two probation revocation hearings for previous infractions.
27-year-old Madison Bruner pleaded guilty to theft by deception and possession of a controlled substance in a counterfeit scheme from last October. Bruner passed fake one-hundred dollar bills at two Indiana restaurants and at a convenience store and was later tracked down at a home along Third Street in White Township. She was originally charged with twenty felony offenses, including eleven for forgery. Bruner will also be sentenced for theft in a case from April of 2017, and to possession of a controlled substance in another case from last October.
47-year-old Harold Lee Filler Jr. of Homer City will be sentenced for two felony counts of criminal trespass for burglaries committed at two businesses along Oakland Avenue in White Township last September. Filler stole a safe with money inside of it, along with the keys to five vehicles from IPA Motors, and he stole money from Renaissance Stylist during the break-ins.
Others scheduled for sentencing today:
- 58-year-old John Henry Piper of Cherry tree will be sentenced for indecent assault committed on New Year’s Day 2018.
- 19-year-old Ma-King Stewart, an SCI Pine Grove inmate from Philadelphia, will be sentenced for aggravated harassment by a prisoner.
- 25-year-old Rose Marie Weimer of Ernest will be sentenced for felony endangering the welfare of children and misdemeanor DUI (third offense) for a traffic incident last December.
- 54-year-old Michael Hoy of Clymer will be sentenced for simple assault.
- 25-year-old Katrese Taylor of Detroit, Michigan, for theft by deception.
- 39-year-old David Sutton of Lorain, Ohio, for possession of marijuana.
- 44-year-old Todd Eric Quidetto of Blairsville, who in 2016 pleaded guilty to indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, will be sentenced for failure to register with state police.
