Major construction projects in Indiana County will include the repaving of Route 422 through the Shelocta area, at a price tag of $4.3 million; new asphalt as well for the Route 119 Bypass in White Township, which is estimated at $2 million to $5 million; the “Cunningham Culverts replacement projects, which will cost between $5 million and $7.5 million; new box culverts on Route 286 over the North Branch of Two Lick Creek, at $2.5 million; and a $4.2 million preventive maintenance project on the Route 22 Bypass in Armagh.
Work is also scheduled to get underway at some point on the multi-season Oakland Avenue widening project, which is technically titled the “Route 286/422 Interchange North” project. It’s estimated at a total cost of $10 million to $15 million.
Additional ongoing work will include the conclusion of the $15.2 million Homer City Three Bridges project, which has been going on for three years and the completion of the three-year $16 million Route 119 Grove Chapel Hill climbing lane project in Rayne Township.
