Earlier today, the Alice Paul House held ground breaking ceremonies for their new office and shelter just off Saltsburg Avenue in Indiana, near Communities at Indian Haven.
The upgraded facilities will house both the Alice Paul House offices and eight private client rooms as part of the shelter. As part of the ceremonies, Pennsylvania’s second lady, Gisele Fetterman, spoke about how important a place like the Alice Paul House is for victims of domestic abuse.

After over 30 years, the building’s condition deteriorated to a state where it was not serving the public the best way it could. That was when former state senator Don White and former state house member Dave Reed were able to step in and start the process to secure state funds.

White said that he was proud of the county being able to help protect the victims.
