There will be a very large police presence on the IUP campus today, but it’s not for a specific threat or incident…it’s a training session at Wallwork Hall.
The university says the IUP Criminal Justice Training Center says to expect to see a number of police cars parked around the residence hall today from 8 AM to 4 PM.
The Criminal Justice Training Center conducts noncredit training programs for police recruits and law enforcement personnel, including:
- Act 120 Municipal Police Academy
- Act 180 Mandatory In-Service
- Act 49 Constable Training Program
- Non-Mandatory In-Service Training
