Clare E. Miller, age 76 of Indiana, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
She was born in 1942 in Colver to Clair E. and Hazel B. Dick Edwards.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Indiana First Church of the Nazarene, Indiana, the Indiana County Farm Women, and the Rainbow Diamond Glass Club.
She was employed by Communities at Indian Haven in the laundry for 30 years before her retirement in 2004.
She was a proud grandmother and loved being with her family. She also enjoyed shopping.
Clare is survived by one daughter and two sons – Kimberly Wilson and husband David, Kittanning; Ronald Simmers and wife Kathy, Indiana; James Miller and wife Vanessa, Suffolk, VA; seven grandchildren – David and Daniel Wilson, Kevin, Nathan and Ryan Simmers, James and Amelia Miller; one step-granddaughter – Leanne Montague; six great grandchildren – Kaylee, Kelsey, Carson and Cannon Simmers, Addison and Timothy Wilson; three step-great grand children – Jayden, Justin and Jordyn Montague.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael L. Simmers, and her brother Ronald E. Edwards.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with the Rev. Bob White officiating. Interment will be made in the Laurel Swamp Cemetery, Clymer.
