Children who are being treated at Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Pediatric Wing got a special surprise visit from the Easter Bunny on Tuesday.
This year marked the 16th annual visit by the Easter Bunny to Indiana Regional Medical Center. The event is held in coordination with the Easter Bunny Foundation, a corporation founded by Sam and Eleanor Meiner in 1995 and supported by the Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Department since 2005. The mission is to collaborate with Sheriff’s departments visits by the Easter Bunny across the country.
This year, the Easter Bunny visited kids in the Pediatric Wing and children who were visiting family members in the hospital, and they received a complimentary coloring book, stickers and a plush stuffed bunny. Chase Cunningham and Ella Spadafora of the Indiana High School Key Club also helped out yesterday.
