Starling Marte hit a two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning and Nick Kingham set the Detroit Tigers down in order in the bottom half of the inning, as the Pirates beat the Tigers, 5-3, Tuesday night.
Jung-ho Kang smacked a two-run homer for the Pirates in the fourth inning and finished with two hits.
Pirates starter Joe Musgrove permitted his first two earned runs of the season. He yielded six hits and a walk while striking out six in seven innings.
