IUP men’s basketball coach Joe Lombardi has landed a Division I transfer, with the announcement made yesterday by David Morris, who said he is transferring to IUP from Tennessee State.
Morris was a standout at Erie Strong Vincent, where he was a three-time Pa. All State player. Morris is the only 2,000 point scorer in Erie County boys’ basketball history with 2,270 points.
Morris, who is listed as 6-1 and with three years of eligibility, played in 28 games last year, including four starts, where he averaged 4.5 points and 1.6 rebounds with 28 assists and 19 steals for the Tigers.
