The IUP football team wrapped up a second week of spring ball with an intra-squad scrimmage Friday afternoon.
Some of the highlight’s were:
– The battle for the starting job at quarterback continued with sophomore Javon Davis working with the first team, going 4 for 9 with 38 yards and one interception. Redshirt freshman Yahmir Wilkerson was 5 for 6 with 50 yards. Transfer Jalen Reese (Toledo) finished with the best stats with 9 for 18, 134 yards, and one touchdown pass, which went to tight end Grant Smith.
– Sophomore Kwashah Carter made five receptions for 70 yards.
– Several starters sat out with minor injuries, including Duane Brown with a case of pink eye.
