Franklin Carl Yeomans, 78, of Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was surrounded by his family and best friend, Rev. Wade Martin Hughes, as he passed at home.
The eldest child of the late John Franklin and Ruby Gladys Little Yeomans, he was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Washington Township.
Carl was a graduate of Marion Center Area High School. He was honorably discharged from the Unites States Army after serving his country for three years, which he loved. After his discharge he was employed as a coal auger operator, truck driver, and quality control inspector. Carl was a member of Summit Church, where he was also a member of the Explorers Bible study group. He enjoyed attending gun bashes, hunting, fishing, woodworking, family, food and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith Sexton Yeomans; his daughters: Tammy (David) Smathers and Linda (Daniel) Allen; grandchildren: Samantha Smathers, Lindsey Smathers, Carley Smathers and fiancé John Pinskey, Michael Allen and Jacob Allen; brothers and sisters: Richard (Pat) Yeomans, Nancy (John) Shoop, Donna Rankin, Daryl (Linda) Yeomans, Carol Sexton, Randy (Gloria) Sexton, Cathy Sexton and Rev. Ronald (Shirley) Sexton; sister-in-law, Anna Yeomans; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family, Kayla, Nikki, Isabel “Izzie Girl” Jachimowski, Kaytie Conrath and Brandin Conrath.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Yeomans; brothers-in-law, Robert Rankin and Ralph “Bud” Sexton.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., with the Rev. Wade Martin Hughes, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
