Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman’s “marijuana listening tour” of all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties will make its stop in Indiana County at the Kovalchick Complex on Sunday, April 14th.
Fetterman is an advocate of legalizing recreational marijuana, and Governor Tom Wolf says the state needs to “take a serious look” at it, writing that “more and more states are successfully implementing marijuana legalization and we need to keep learning from their efforts. He also acknowledges that while Democrats will continue to push for legal recreational use of marijuana as a means of raising revenue, the Republican-controlled General Assembly is a tough sell.
Auditor General Eugene DePasquale advocates legalized recreational pot. He says the state would rake in $581 million a year from marijuana sales.
Pennsylvania legalized medical marijuana in 2016.
Fetterman’s visit to the KCAC on April 14th will be from 5:30 to 7 PM.
