PennDOT says nighttime road work will begin on Monday evening at 6 o’clock on a section of Route 422 in Plumcreek Township and Elderton Borough.
The highway will be milled to remove old asphalt, patched, and resurfaced. There will also be minor upgrades to drainage and the guiderails. There will be daily lane restrictions and traffic delays through the end of September, with all of the work scheduled between 6 PM and 6 AM.
PennDOT also says previously announced work on a Route 422 landslide a mile-and-a-half west of Elderton has been rescheduled to begin on Monday. There will be temporary single-lane restrictions starting April 15th, controlled by flaggers during off-peak hours. Those repairs are expected to last through the end of May.
