Few details are available at this time on a fire at a modular home in Jefferson County that brought fire crews from Indiana County in to assist.
Marion Center and Plumville Fire Departments were two of several fire companies that responded to the fire to assist the Dayton Fire Department. Dayton first assistant chief Jim Marshall said that the fire was fast moving as it went through the double-wide trailer, gutting essentially half of the trailer, with the other half taking on heavy smoke and water damage. The home is now uninhabitable.
Also assisting on the scene were firefighters from Perry Township in Jefferson County.
