It’s called “24 Hours for the Lord”, and it’s coming to the St. Thomas More University Parish next Friday and Saturday.
The Catholic Diocese of Greensburg says St. Thomas More will be open for 24 hours, from 1 PM Friday to 1 PM Saturday, for confession. The “24 Hours for the Lord” initiative was begun by Pope Francis in 2014 for the sacrament of reconciliation.
Father Alan Polczynski and other confessors will be on hand for the event, which is being promoted throughout the entire diocese. Besides confession, the event will also include the praying of the rosary; silent adoration; prayers, praise and worship; and a prayer service with the first Holy Communion Class of Saint Thomas More University Parish and their First Reconciliation.
You can view a full schedule of the “24 Hours for the Lord” event at the St. Thomas More website, www.stmup.org.
