For the second time in as many meetings, the White Township Supervisors had to deal with the passing of one of their long-time members.
Last night’s meeting was the first after the passing of Robert Overdorff, who was the chairman of the township supervisors. Township Manager Milt Lady remembered Overdorff, who served nearly 20 years as the board chairman.

Applications will be sought for someone to fill Overdorff’s seat until April 3rd at 4:30 and Overdorff’s replacement will be named at their April meeting. The person named to the seat will serve until the end of the year. This would have been Overdorff’s last year on the board of supervisors, so his six-year position will be up for election in November, with no special election needed.
In other business, the board appointed Ted Kucuck as the new supervisor to take over for the late Jerry Boucher. Those who were not selected are invited to apply again for Overdorff’s seat.
