The Blairsville-Saltsburg School District is getting ready to sell some of their iPads at the end of the school year.
Some of the iPads will have their leases expire at the end of the year, and instead of selling them to a third party for resale, District Superintendent Jeffrey Soles said that the district will sell them themselves. The iPads will have their memory wiped and will be like-new for those who wish to buy one. Soles added that they will be sold at what he called a “fair market value.”

In other business, the board approved the school calendar for the upcoming school year, with the first day of school on Wednesday, August 21st and the final day being May 28th of 2020. The district will continue to dismiss students two hours early on Fridays.
The board also approved the purchase of two audio systems from B&H Photo-Video-Pro Audio at a cost of $6,092. The systems will be installed in both the Blairsville and Saltsburg Varsity Gymnasiums.
