Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spent a half-hour talking with the media yesterday at the NFL owners meeting, and said it is time to move on from the defections of five-time Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell.
Tomlin said the Steelers need “good players, good guys that want to be here,” and he was “disappointed” at the way Brown orchestrated his departure from Pittsburgh. At the same time, the coach said he’s focused on the guys who will be there this season, not the guys who won’t.
Tomlin spoke publicly for the first time since his last news conference at the end of the season. He said he won’t comment on Brown’s verbal bombshells this offseason because Brown is not a Steeler anymore, so he’s not “in-house”.
