The IUP council of trustees met on Thursday and approved the increases to student fees for the next school year.
Some of the fee increases include a $2 increase in the Wellness fee, a 5% increase for meal plans and a 4% increase in the university owned residence hall fees. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that they’ve been examining all student fees beyond tuition very carefully.

In other business, Driscoll said in his report to the council of Trustees that he will soon embark on his second listening tour. Driscoll’s first listening tour came at the start of his tenure as the University President, and he said it’s time to hear from the IUP community once again.

Driscoll said this listening tour will take place over the next 18 months.
