It’s a busy day at the Indiana County Courthouse today, with Plea Court, sentencings, two non-jury trials, and probation revocations on the schedule.
57-year-old Duane Harper, who is now listed as being from Homer City, will be sentenced for guilty pleas in two sex-related cases. One is dated July 19th of 2017, the other on the same date last year. In the most recent case, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent expose, with agreement for non-prosecution for two felony counts of corruption of minors and four misdemeanor counts of indecent assault, all involving a sleeping 17-year-old girl at a home in Young Township last July. Harper lived along Iselin Road at the time. In the 2017 case, he pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.
35-year-old Jessica Marie Coachman of Johnstown will be sentenced for felony burglary in February of last year.
60-year-old Steven Stempf of Indiana will be sentenced for misdemeanor indecent assault.
20-year-old Justin Meleki of Philadelphia, an SCI Pine Grove inmate, will be sentenced for aggravated harassment by prisoner for an altercation with a corrections officer last May. Meleki is serving 7 1/2 to 20 years in prison for felony aggravated assault, conspiracy, and robbery. He refused to go into his cell and spat in the face of the officer.
34-year-old Walter George Jr. of Indiana will be sentenced for illegally driving a vehicle without its ignition interlock engaged and speeding.
TRIALS
The two non-jury trials are for defendants accused of violating court orders.
PLEA COURT
Today’s Plea Court schedule includes 29-year-old Lindsay May Rowley of Penn Run, who will plead to theft, theft with extortion through use of a stolen secret, and receiving stolen property.
25-year-old Rose Marie Weimer of Ernest will plead to a host of charges including felony endangering the welfare of children and fleeing or eluding a police officer, plus misdemeanor DUI (third offense), and seven summary traffic violations. The incident happened last December.
37-year-old Jennifer Lynn Graham will plead to two counts each of interference with the custody of children and endangering the welfare of children, all felonies. Two counts of kidnapping of a minor were dismissed at lower court.
30-year-old Matthew Deyarmin of Indiana will plead to two counts each of retail theft and receiving stolen property, and in another case to retail theft and defiant trespass.
51-year-old Charles Waddell Jr. of Armagh will plead to possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
35-year-old Justin Spiaggi of Indiana will plead to charges of offensive weapon, possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia, and driving a vehicle with suspended registration.
40-year-old Virginia Mae Jones of Blairsville will plead to possession of drug paraphernalia.
