The NCAA Divison Two women’s basketball Elite Eight pairings have been announced, and IUP has drawn the third seed. The Crimson Hawks will play #6 seed Azusa Pacific in the Elite Eight opener on Tuesday at noon in Columbus, Ohio. Airtime on U92.5 FM, U92radio.com and the U92 WQMU app is 11 a.m.

With a win, IUP would play the in the Final Four against the winner of #2 Southwestern Oklahoma and 7th-seed St. Anselm, who play at 2:30 PM.
The other half of the bracket shows top seed Drury against number-8 Nova Southeastern at 6 PM, followed by #3 Lubbock Christian against #4 North Georgia at 8:30.
Azusa Pacific is 28-5. The Cougars won the West Region, 65-63 over Alaska Anchorage on a buzzer-beater basket by Lydia Nieto. They have five players averaging in double figures, although one of them has played in only twelve games. Savannah Hanson leads them in scoring with 15.7 points per game.
IUP defeated California, 68-60, on Monday night, March 18, to win the NCAA Atlantic Regional and advance to the NCAA Elite Eight, which ends on March 29 with the championship game.
