The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Tampa Bay Rays did something that can only be done in the pre-season: play to a tie.
The Pirates and Rays tied 6-6 after 9 innings last night at LECOM park in Bradenton. Several Pirates players hit homers, including Fransisco Cervelli, Josh Bell, Starling Marte, and Jung-Ho Kang. Marte’s home run was the only multi-run homer for the team last night. While the game wound up a tie, the Pirates reliever Richcard Rodriguez gets credit for a blown save.
The Pirates play the Detroit Tigers today, and you can hear it starting at 1:00 on WCCS
