A long-time Indiana resident has decided to run for Indiana School Board.
Cinda Brode has announced her intent to cross-file on both the Democratic and Republican Ballots for the position of Indiana School Board member. Brode has been a regular attendee of the school board meetings since the board announced plans to close two of the schools and rebuild the Ben Franklin Elementary School in 2017. She continues to support the Indiana Borough schools remaining open.

In a news release, Brode said she understands both the board’s side and the citizen’s side of the issues at hand, and she hopes to use that understanding to bring a “meaningful, affordable, and quality education” to the students in the district. Brode is currently a bookkeeper for both J&S Wholesale and TR Johns Corporation.
