An IUP professor has announced he will run for Indiana Borough Council member representing the fourth ward.
In a news release, Jonathan Warnock, a professor of Geoscience at IUP, has announced his intent to run for the Democratic nomination to the 4th ward seat on Borough Council. Warnock is the current co-director of the Sustainability Studies program. Some of the parts of his platform is to introduce sustainability initiatives to the borough, like solar power. He also wants to help improve the relations between the borough government and the university, and help council continue its work on equality issues. He also is in support of keeping the borough-based elementary schools open.
