Governor Tom Wolf announced that $800,000 in grants from the Veterans Trust Fund program will be awarded to 29 organizations across the state to support Veterans programs. Some of that money will come to Indiana County.
Indiana County will receive $20,000. That money will go to the county’s office of Veterans Affairs to expand veterans outreach services. Indiana County is one of ten counties whose office of Veterans Affairs had applied for such funds. The V.T.F. also will give 19 other Veterans service organizations and non-profit groups that help veterans some grant money
The money from the Veterans Trust Fund comes from Pennsylvanians who make a $3 donation when they renew their driver’s license, photo ID or motor vehicle registration. The fund also receives money from the sale of the Honoring Our Veterans license plates and donations made by private citizens.
