A man from Glen Campbell now faces several charges connected with a series of incidents on February 28th.
State police say that around 10:44 in the morning on Thursday, troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash on Route 240 in Green Township. It was reported that the driver, later identified as 19-year-old Brandon Wolfe had left the vehicle and fled the scene following the crash. Troopers did find the car he was driving went off the road and collided with a piece of farm equipment in the parking lot of Kough Feed Service, and then went on to collide with a tree. Troopers would later discover that the vehicle was stolen from a Homer City resident.
Another motorist, a 48-year-old woman from Commodore reported having an encounter with a man with bloody fists. When she stopped to check on his welfare, he tried to get into her vehicle. She had the doors locked so he was not able to get inside. The man then ran off into a wooded area.
Troopers would search for Wolfe and they eventually found him walking along Route 580. He was taken into custody at that time without incident. Police believed he was under the influence of drugs and sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Police searched Wolfe and the car he wrecked, and they found a tin foil pouch containing suspected narcotics on Wolfe, and in a backpack found in the vehicle, police found two glass pipes with a white residue on them.
Wolfe was arraigned on charges of theft, attempted theft, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, unauthorized use of motor vehicles and 12 summary offenses before district judge Christopher Welch. Wolfe is now in Indiana County Jail after failing to post $100,000 bail.
