IUP 88, Edinboro 60
No. 8 IUP clinched the PSAC West championship. Six Crimson Hawks scored in double-figures and the defense forced 19 turnovers. Senior guard Lauren Wolosik led IUP in scoring with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, knocking down three 3-pointers and a pair of foul shots. She added eight rebounds and five assists.
Men’s Game
IUP 87, Edinboro 59
The men’s basketball team didn’t bring their uniforms and borrowed some old Edinboro unis to beat their hosts.
Coach Joe Lombardi earned his 300th win, as the No. 2 Crimson Hawks also clinched the PSAC West title. Lombardi became the 10th coach in PSAC history to win 300 games and in 13 seasons and 399 games, the fastest of the league’s coaches to reach the milestone.
Senior guard Malik Miller led all scorers and tied a career-high with 26 points. He knocked down 9-of-15 from the floor and also tied a career-high with six 3-pointers.
