Indiana County Commissioners this morning approved authorization to seek a loan on behalf of the county’s conservation district.
The loan is expected to be less than $2 million, and according to Commissioner Rod Ruddock, the final amount of the loan depends on a few factors.

The money from the loan will be used towards construction of a new administrative office and learning center for the conservation district that would be located at the ICTC Campus. The reason the commissioners are pursuing the loan is because the commissioners can get better loan rates than the conservation district.
In other business, the commissioners proclaimed March 15th as Safety and Security Day in Indiana County, which is the same day as the Indiana School District’s Safety and Security Symposium at the KCAC.
