Many in Indiana County are once again waking up without power as crews from REA Energy and Penelec continue their work to restore power for the area.
Many of the outages started Sunday as high winds blew trees in to power lines across the areas. Now that the winds have calmed down, it safe for crews to be out there to make repairs, Right now, Penelec has announced that 582 of their customers remain without power at this time, but many of those customers will see power restoration as late as Wednesday night at 11:30 PM. Some areas could see power restored sooner than that and others could see power restoration later than that.
REA Energy has announced that the outages that are affecting 157 of their members in Indiana and Cambria counties, with those outages being caused by trees falling. They have brought in crews from other electric co-ops to help out.
