Today is the first game of the Pirates preseason schedule. The Pirates are going to take on the Philadelphia Phillies, and you can hear the game on WCCS starting at 1:00 with the pregame show.
Speaking of the Pirates, one person that was part of training camp won’t join the team when the games start will be Garth Brooks. The Country music superstar ended his two weeks with the Pirates yesterday as the Pirates broke their original camp to move to LECOM park for their game schedule. This marked the fourth year that Brooks has gone through spring training to raise funds for the Teammates for Kids foundation, which is now in its 20th year.
