The average cost of a gallon of gas has started to go up in Indiana County.
Gasbuddy.com reports that the average cost of a gallon of gasoline in Indiana County has gone up to nearly $2.62 a gallon. In Indiana, gas prices are around $2.65 a gallon, with gas prices in Homer City about 6 cents cheaper at $2.59 a gallon. That’s also the average price for gas in the Blairsville region. Marion Center is seeing gas prices around $2.65 a gallon.
Across the region, prices in Westmoreland County are ten cents cheaper, with the average cost around $2.51 a gallon. Cambria County checks in at $2.53 a gallon. Armstrong has $2.57 a gallon, Jefferson is at $2.61 a gallon and Clearfield is at $2.64.
Gas prices across the state have also gone up over the last week. The statewide average is now at $2.51 a gallon, representing a 1.9 cent increase from last week. Prices are still down by 33 cents from last year at this time.
