INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police have charged a West Newton man with disorderly conduct along with other charges for an incident last night on Philadelphia Street. Police say that the disturbance was in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street in front of one of the bars. 22-year-old Aaron Indof was arrested after fighting with bar staff at the bar, and he damaged bar property. Police said that he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was later released to a sober person. A criminal complaint was filed charging Indof with disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief and public drunkenness.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana woman with DUI and several other crimes. Police say that on February 8th, they found 33-year-old Brittany Basaldua of Indiana in the driver’s seat of her car that was stuck in the 1500 block of School Street. Police said the car was still running at the time. Through the course of their investigation, police found out that Basaldua was driving under the influence, and was later taken to IRMC for evaluation. Basaldua now faces charges of trespassing by motor vehicle, DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol content of .16 or above, and careless driving. The charges were filed through district judge Guy Haberl’s office.
