Both REA and Penelec have reported outages this morning due to the cold, wet weather.
REA Energy says the bulk of their outages are in the Cherryhill Substation area, where about 580 of their members are without power. Crews are working towards full restoration, but there’s no word yet on when power will be restored.
Meanwhile, Penelec is reporting outages all across the county, with the highest number of outages reported in Green Township at 397. Burrell Township also reported 78 outages, while other areas reported less than 20 outages in Blairsville and Clymer boroughs, and Brush Valley, Center, Rayne, West Wheatfield and White Townships. Outages are expected to be restored by 1:30 at the latest.
