State police say charges have been filed against a Homer City man and woman after a violent domestic incident Thursday morning at a home along Oneida Mine Road in Buffington Township.
23-year-old Lea Ashley Slusar is charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment. 33-year-old Brian Malik is charged with simple assault and harassment.
Police say Slusar told them that she was hit and bitten by Malik during the dispute, which left her with light marks on her skin. Then, according to police, Slusar went after Malik while he was lying in bed and attempted to “choke him out”, leaving bruises on his neck.
Malik was released on $1,000 bond. Slusar is being held at the Indiana County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond. Hearings for the two are scheduled for February 26th before District Judge Susanne Steffee.
