Three defendants were scheduled for sentencing in Indiana County Court yesterday but as of now, the online court docket sheets only offer details on one of them.
26-year-old Andrew Barto of Mahaffey pleaded guilty to indecent assault of an unconscious victim for an incident in March of last year in Indiana Borough. Yesterday, Barto was ordered to serve nine months to two years less a day in prison with credit for time served, followed by three years of probation. He is also subject to Megan’s Law notification and must submit to a DNA sample draw, undergo drug and alcohol treatment, and if deemed necessary, undergo drug and alcohol and/or a mental health evaluation and treatment.
Barto must also pay $1,889 in fines and court costs, and may have no contact with his victims.
