Blairsville and Penns Manor, the champions of the South and North Divisions, respectively, prevailed in the Heritage Conference girls’ semifinals Monday night.
The Bobcats came back from an 11-point, first-quarter deficit to defeat Marion Center, 64-46.
The Comets trailed at halftime by two points but held the edge in the second half to beat United, 57-55.
Blairsville defeated Penns Manor in the conference championship last year, and they will meet again this Friday at the KCAC. Game time is 6 pm.
In other action, the Indiana girls picked up a big win last night at Greensburg Salem, 54-51, in overtime. Hope Cook led the way with 24 points, including six 3-pointers. Another freshman, Mia Ciocca, hit a trey to send the game into OT.
Indiana needs a win over Freeport Thursday on Senior Salute Night to qualify for the playoffs. Thursday’s game will be broadcast on WDAD AM 1450 and 100.3 FM.
