B. Lynn “Babe” Bash, 70, of Commodore, PA died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at his home.
The son of Howard “Wayne” and Mildred “Mim” Frances (Deitman) Bash, he was born on July 18, 1948 in the home in which he still made his residence in Green Twp., Indiana, Co. PA.
Babe was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from July 1970 thru February 1972 leaving the Army with the rank of SGT E-5.
Babe attended an electronic school for two years and earned a bachelor’s degree in English Writing /Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
He shared his home with his six much beloved cats.
Babe is survived by his brother: Thomas R. Bash and wife, Marge of Clymer, PA; his sister-in-law: Jean Bash of Streator, IL; his special friend, Richard Strojan of Irwin, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Babe was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers: Dick and Jim Bash.
Family and friends will be received from 1-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd., in Hillsdale, PA, where a 4:00 p.m. funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Pastor Bob White will officiate. There will not be a cemetery service.
