Some members of the Pittsburgh Pirates organization were in Indiana last night for a special Pirates Care-A-Van stop at the KCAC.
About 500 people were in attendance last night for the free event, which included mini clinics for young baseball players being taught by members of the Pirates and the IUP baseball team, and opportunities for fans to pick up autographs. There was also a Q and A session hosted by the Voice of the Pirates Greg Brown, who talked about the evolution of the Care-A-Van from what it used to be to what it is today.

As part of the charitable effort of the Care-A-Van, the Pirates donated $1000 to Renda Broadcasting’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
