State police have busted up another methamphetamine operation in Indiana County, this one in East Wheatfield Township.
It happened Monday evening at about 7:11 PM when troopers went to serve an arrest warrant on a man in the trailer court along West Philadelphia Street in Armagh. Police say that the wanted man was taken into custody without incident, but as they were searching him, the troopers noted various items of drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the mobile home. They then obtained consent to conduct a search and inside a duffel bag they found other items related to the manufacture of meth. The State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team was summoned to process the crime scene, and found still more items.
A 51-year-old New Florence man, a 35-year-old Armagh man, and a 36-year-old Seward woman were at the mobile home when police arrived, and all are under investigation. The charges are pending the laboratory analysis of the seized items and further investigation.
As always state police urge anyone who suspects illegal drug activity to contact them or their local police. You may also anonymously report suspicious activity toll-free at 1-877-PA-NODRUGS.
